God answers prayer.
When we seek Him out in prayer, asking for His direction, wisdom and healing, He answers. In the past six months, I have been exposed to God’s power in response to prayer. I’ve prayed about my career and was given an answer that has provided me with new direction and an opportunity to learn and grow professionally. I have prayed for healing and have seen God’s power in the lives of my friends and family. I’ve sought God’s wisdom for my search for holiness and have been turned down a unique path by starting this blog and focusing on my fathers writings.
I have to admit. Initially I was intimidated by prayer. I felt inadequate in approaching God. I felt my prayers lacked focus and any sense of a coherent thought. When I finally surrendered my ego and expectations of prayer, that is when my eyes were opened.
What I’ve experienced recently is that the more I surrender to God’s will, the more relevant and real my prayers become. I’ve asked for very specific things in my prayers and been given very specific answers from my Father in Heaven. I’ve been humbled by the fact that God is focused on my needs and hearing and responding to my requests. I’m feeling a renewed energy for prayer and its role in my life. It’s becoming a centerpiece for my growing relationship with Jesus and his saving grace.
